The Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Rho Upsilon Lambda Chapter awarded two local students with the Bro. Wallace L. Smith, Jr. Scholarship in the amount of $1,500.00 each for a total of $3,000.00. The winners where Dennis Lee Brand, Jr. of Headland High School and Kylee Madison Shayune Smith of Daleville High School. Both participants had to write an essay 300 – 500 words on “The importance of achieving a College Education.” The winners where awarded their scholarships during at their schools.
