RUL gives out 7 Scholarships to local graduates

Rho Upsilon Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has awarded scholarships every year to worthy seniors in the Wiregrass area in honor of our deceased brother Wallace L. Smith, Jr.  Brother Smith was a life-long educator.  This year we were fortunate to award 7 scholarships.  They are as follows:

  1. Omarion Pinckney – $1,000.00 + $1,000.00 – ASU matching funds – Daleville High School
  2. Tyrin Freeman – $1,000.00 – Abbeville High School
  3. Martha Hurt – $1,000.00 – Pike County High School
  4. Xavier Henderson – $500.00 – Enterprise High School
  5. Aliya Griffin – $500.00 – Dothan High School
  6. Tierra Minnifield – $500.00 – Daleville High School
  7. Rodwick Jackson – $500.00 –  Houston Academy

Bro. Gregory Clark, VP/ASU Secured matching funds for the applicant that will be attending ASU.
