Members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Rho Upsilon Lambda Chapter participated in the U.N.I.T.Y. Picnic Backpack and School Supply give away in Dothan, Alabama. The event was put on by the Wiregrass Pan-hellenic Council. It was held on July 29, 2023, Members of the Wiregrass Area Pan-Hellenic Council met at Walton Park in Dothan, Alabama and gave away FREE clear backpacks, pencils, folders, paper, and other school supplies to members of the community. Participants also received FREE Food and Drinks.
The Pan-Hellenic Council is comprised of the Divine 9 or the 9 African American Greek letter organizations. The Divine Nine includes Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity!!!!
Money was donated by each organization, members of the community, businesses, and other organizations. With the funds raised, the Pan-Hellenic Council was able to give out over 300 backpacks and school supplies.
